As we look at the history and tradition of the Catholic Church in the Slidell area, we feel it is fair to say that Our Lady of Lourdes parish has had a major impact on the lives of thousands of families and individuals.  Since our beginnings in 1890, we have had the opportunity to spiritually nourish, educate, and reach out to this entire community.
Every once in a while, a parish like ours gets the opportunity to expand that positive influence and impact not just one generation but many future generations as well. This chance does not come along very often for every parish, and when it does, it is indeed a strategic moment in the history of that institution.  This is exactly where Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is today.  We have reached our strategic moment, and we must move forward.  With the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we have been left with a tremendous challenge: rebuild our parish.
May God continue to bless us as we grow as one community where Love Transform Deep Water. May we always trust in the promise that, “With God all things are possible!”

School of Religion
Parish School Of  Religion
Begins with 8:30 A.M. Mass
Students are asked to sit in the Reserved Section near the organ. 
Families are invited to site with their children.

Confirmation Information
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church is currently registering 10th grade students who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the fall of 2019. Students in 11th & 12th grade who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation are welcome to join our formation and preparation classes. The fee for registration is $100 and a baptismal certificate is required at registration. Please call (985) 643-4137 for more information.

First Eucharist Registration
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church is currently registering students for reception of First Reconciliation & First Eucharist. Archdiocese Policy requires two years of formation and preparation of both sacraments. If you have an older child who is still in need of these sacraments we encourage you to contact the office at (985) 640-6033 for more information.

Adult Faith Formation (AFF & RCIA)
Our Parish Faith-Formation series continues on Sunday afternoons at 3pm and Wednesday evenings at 7pm, in the PLC.
